published on 03 November 2025

DineSafe research will be presented at the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) 2025 Annual Meeting, which will be held July 27–30, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Lee-Ann Jaykus of North Carolina State University will present DineSafe’s research on our behalf at this year’s conference.

The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) brings together a global community of professionals dedicated to protecting the world’s food supply. Its members include educators, government officials, microbiologists, food industry executives, and quality control experts engaged in every aspect of food production, from growing and processing to storage, transport, and preparation.

Representing more than 50 countries, IAFP members collaborate through networking, educational programs, publications, and professional development to strengthen food safety worldwide. The association serves as a vital resource for advancing public health and fostering scientific exchange within the global food protection community.

Why This Matters
Norovirus is not a reportable disease, and traditional surveillance often lags behind real-world outbreaks, particularly at the brand level. DineSafe’s approach transforms illness complaints into an operational KPI that industry leaders can act on in real time.

  • Interested in your brand’s performance? We provide confidential, risk-adjusted benchmarking, including your rank versus a peer group, trends over time, and proactive alerting.
  • Learn our methodology: At IAFP 2025, Dr. Lee-Ann Jaykus (NC State) will share our research demonstrating the high correlation between crowdsourced “norovirus-like” illness signals and official surveillance data, along with a case study comparing large chains and independent operators.

We look forward to connecting with food industry professionals, public health experts, researchers, and policymakers at IAFP 2025 to share insights and advance the conversation on proactive, data-driven food safety.
