Dinesafe.com was delighted to be selected as a speaker at the 2023 IAFP conference. We spoke on Monday, July 17th at 1:30PM in room 717 as part of IAFP's Technical Session #6. Dinesafe's presentation, titled "Machine Learning, AI, and Confirmation Bias in Crowdsourced Foodborne Illness Reporting," delved into the use of crowdsourced data in investigating outbreaks of foodborne illnesses, and discuss both its advantages and challenges - here is the abstract for our presentation.

The International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) is an organization that works to promote food safety worldwide. Their annual conference brings together more than 4,000 food safety professionals, researchers, and educators to share knowledge and learn about the latest advancements in the field. Many papers are submitted to the IAFP each year, but only a select few are chosen for presentation after a thorough review process.
